APA is like a ‘boat kitty’ that covers the variable expenses relating to fuel, water, food, beverages, alcoholic drinks and port fees. It is used by the staff to make payments during the holiday without disturbing you. Any remaining APA will be returned at the end of the charter, equally if expenses incurred exceed the APA paid then the additional expense is requested at the end of the charter.
