Think of a yacht as a villa that moves - it has bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge and outdoor area just like any other accommodation. The obvious difference is that this villa moves from island to island thanks to your own private skipper (or sail it yourself if your're qualified).
Sailing holidays are typically more about the 'holiday' than the 'sailing', with average sailing legs around three hours. When you're not behind the wheel, you're swimming, sunbathing, eating and drinking, snorkelling, hiring scooters, relaxing in hammocks, swinging into the sea, going out for dinner, having a drink as the sun goes down, or enjoying the wind guide you along. Of course many of these can be done while you're sailing as well, though probably not riding your scooter!
Why you should go on a sailing holiday
Sailing in the Mediterranean is a wonderful experience. With hot weather, light winds, flat seas and no tides, it is a relaxing and non-challenging way to see idyllic islands, lively villages and peaceful harbours of the Mediterranean as you've never seen them before.
Meander the short distances from island to island, swim from the back of the yacht, dine alfresco on board, discover shoreside restaurants, explore coves, inlets and islands, and spend nights either moored in prime waterfront locations or under the stars in an quiet bay. It's all up to you.
We Make Sailing Easy and Accessible
For too long a sailing holiday has been viewed as too exclusive or overly difficult to arrange. That's what we're here for. Enjoying a sailing holiday with Seamaster is readily accessible and easy, we take care of everything for you. We help you pick the best sailing destination according to your tastes, the best yacht according to your requirements, and put together the best itinerary according to your preferences.
You simply need to turn up at the airport at this end and we can arrange your flights, transfers, yacht and, if required, a skipper to sail the yacht for you. Easy.
On the practical side, on arrival at the airport you are transferred to the base where your yacht awaits (no further than 60 minutes, but often far less). You will be met and shown to your yacht, and a one-on-one briefing will take place to familiarise you with the your yacht. You will also meet your skipper, if applicable, and you can go over your itinerary with him.
As soon as a small amount of paperwork is completed and you've visited the supermarket to get some supplies, you're free to sail off into a week (or more) of relaxing cruising.
