Never thought of a yacht as 'hot' before? Well, neither have we, but these new boats have certainly got us thinking about it. We've picked out a few of our favourite yachts from the class of 2017.

The stand-out feature on this new catamaran from Catana is certainly the bow lounge , where they have replaced the traditional trampoline between the two bows with lounging squabs, and created a large lounge forward. There's also easy access from the saloon via a large window that opens in front. This 'open space' concept is a real head-turner and will certainly help to laze away many hours this summer.
The Jeanneau 57 ios a sun-worhippers paradise. The platform created when the transom folds down is wonderful, with two sun loungers appearing from nowhere. The cockpit seats are among the longest you'll find on a production yacht – a whopping 3.4m – complete with luxurious aft-facing chaise longue with drinks holders. As one reviewer from Yachting World put it "I have never found so many comfortable positions to sit on one boat before". We suggest you try it out.
Smaller boats keep getting bigger and bigger, and so it is with the new Oceanis 35.1. With twin helms and a transom that folds into a lovely swimming platform, the outside space belies its length. Down below, there's a wonderful feel of space. We love this yacht, it's a lovely cruiser for families and couples.
Ok, the Bavaria Cruiser 46 as a design is not new, it's been in production for several years now, but this yacht makes our list as there are 2017 versions, but also because it is just so good! Comfortable, spacious, and a great cockpit area with the largest swimming platform in its class, the Bavaria Cruiser 46 remains our most popular modern four cabin cruising yacht.
As Sail Magazine puts it - "What’s better than something that works? Something that works even better". Following on from the successes of the Ocenais 41, this new Beneteau is all about space. From a large cockpit area, with twin helms and a gorgeous swimming platform, to the master stateroom with an island berth, this Oceanis 41.1 is a star newcomer.
The flagship yacht of our Mediterranean fleet, the Lagoon 620 is a very special yacht. It comes with three crew, including a chef of course, and a range of water toys to keep you occupied during the day. The flybridge alone on this yacht is larger than the outdoor spaces on most other sailing yachts. Lagoon keeps on delivering fantastic catamarans, with the new 52, 450 and 42s all being excellent boats.
We really like this Dufour as it combines an extremely comfortable three cabin, two head yacht with excellent sailing capabilities that are ahead of other pure cruising yachts in its class. The Dufour 382 features a spacious cockpit layout with plenty of room for entertaining as well as storage, sleek lines, and a more than comfortable interior. You'll be able to get he most of her as well, with a battened mainsail and lazy jacks.
This yacht is widely available across the Mediterranean, including Croatia and Italy.
