Choosing the right Destination

We have a selection of destinations that we feel are better suited to skippered charters than other, which we list below. These areas have all the characteristics that we feel make a sailing holiday so special; gentle sailing conditions, great weather, short-hop sailing legs, lots to do and see, and beautiful waters for snorkelling and swimming.

Making a Decision
Reaching a final decision on destination ultimately comes down to personal preference, just as you would consider for a villa or hotel. For example, Italian culture and food is different to Greek food and culture; Greece is rustic and rough around the edges, whereas Croatia is more 'classical' with terracotta roofed houses, and pristine fortress towns. Which do you prefer? The best place to start when assessing sailing destinations is to ask everyone involved some general questions about where they wish to go (like you would for any other holiday) and of course phone us at any time.
Recommended Areas for Skippered Yacht Charters:
  • Dalmatian Islands, Croatia

The 'Dalmatians' are a fantastic sailing ground with everything a sailor could possibly wish for, which is why they are the hottest ticket in sailing right now.  Renowned for its diversity, you'll visit fortress towns, lively villages, quiet bays, picturesque harbours and experience wonderfully balanced sailing.

  • Ionian Islands, Greece

The 'easiest' and probably most popular area in Greece in terms of numbers of yachts. Sail from either Corfu in the north or Lefkas in the south; think short sailing legs, light winds & quayside tavernas.

  • Saronic Islands, Greece

Embarking from Athens, the Saronic Islands is the most balanced sailing area in Greece, with a perfect mix of good wind, quiet bays, lively islands, friendly tavernas and great value.

  • Sardinia, Italy

Sardinia has all the magical ingredients that make a sailing holiday so special; golden sandy beaches, a pristine marine national park, a thriving local culture, great climate, wonderful food & what gives the 'Costa Smeralda' its name - beautifully clear emerald waters.
