Marina di Cannigione is located on the western side of the Gulf of Arzachena, on Sardinia's northeast coast. The naturally sheltered harbour sits beside the small resort town of Cannigione, where the waterfront is lined with restaurants, cafés and shops. The marina has a more relaxed and practical character than some of the high-profile ports along the Costa Smeralda, while still being within easy reach of Porto Cervo and the surrounding coastline. Several pontoons and marine businesses operate around the harbour, creating an active boating base rather than a single enclosed marina complex. It is an appealing place to arrive, with the village immediately accessible from the yacht and the surrounding hills and coastline framing the bay.

Cannigione is particularly well positioned for exploring northern Sardinia by sailing yacht. The La Maddalena Archipelago lies to the north, offering a choice of island harbours, anchorages and beaches around Caprera, Spargi, Budelli and Santa Maria. You can also follow the coast towards Baja Sardinia and Porto Cervo, or, on a longer itinerary, sail across the Strait of Bonifacio towards southern Corsica. This gives you the flexibility to combine island-hopping with longer sailing passages, depending on your route and prevailing conditions. The nearest airport is Olbia Costa Smeralda, approximately 27–30 km away, although transfer times can vary. Cannigione's location at the head of the Gulf of Arzachena is a particular advantage, as it provides a protected starting point while keeping the main cruising grounds close at hand.
