Marina di Cugnana lies in the sheltered waters of the Gulf of Cugnana on Sardinia’s northeast coast, between Porto Rotondo and Portisco. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and granite hills, the marina has a peaceful, natural feel and is well protected from the stronger winds of the area. There is a small, secluded beach close by, with clear water and a relaxed atmosphere that makes a pleasant first stop before setting sail. Marina di Cugnana is well placed for a catamaran holiday around the Costa Smeralda and the islands of northern Sardinia. From the Gulf of Cugnana, you can quickly reach Porto Rotondo, Punta di Volpe and the beautiful bays around Cala di Volpe before heading north towards Mortorio, Soffi and the La Maddalena Archipelago. The sheltered coastline gives you plenty of options for shorter sailing days, while a longer itinerary can take you across to Caprera and La Maddalena or onwards towards southern Corsica. With so many beaches and sheltered coves close by, a catamaran is particularly well suited to spending relaxed days swimming, anchoring and exploring the coastline at your own pace.
