Marina Nydri, Lefkada
Marina Nydri is located on the eastern coast of Lefkada, looking out towards the small islands scattered across the Ionian Sea. The surrounding town has a distinctly holiday-like atmosphere, with a busy waterfront promenade, traditional tavernas, cafés and bars stretching along the shore. Nydri is backed by the green hills of Lefkada, while Skorpios and the other Prigiponissia islands lie just offshore. It is a particularly convenient setting for sailors who want to step straight from the boat into a lively Greek seaside town, while still being surrounded by some of the Ionian’s most attractive sailing waters.

From Nydri, the Ionian sailing area opens up almost immediately. Skorpios and Meganisi are close enough to make excellent first stops, while the many bays and sheltered inlets around Meganisi are perfect for exploring at a leisurely pace. You can continue south towards Kalamos and Kastos, or plan a longer route towards Ithaca and Kefalonia. Lefkada’s east coast is particularly enjoyable for combining sailing with swimming stops, quiet anchorages and evenings in small waterfront villages. The sheltered nature of the surrounding islands also gives you plenty of flexibility when planning your route, allowing you to adapt your itinerary to the wind and spend more time enjoying the places you discover along the way.
