Nea Peramos Marina
Nea Peramos is a small coastal town and harbour on the western side of Attica, approximately 45 km from Athens. The marina occupies a naturally protected bay and retains the character of a working Greek harbour, with fishing vessels and local boats alongside private and charter yachts. The waterfront is the centre of the town, with tavernas, cafés, shops and everyday services within easy walking distance. This gives Nea Peramos a more relaxed, local atmosphere than the large charter marinas around Athens. For sailing crews, it is an appealing combination of a practical departure point, a sheltered harbour and a genuine Greek seaside setting.

Nea Peramos provides direct access to the Saronic Gulf, making it a useful alternative to the larger charter bases closer to central Athens. From here, sailing routes can head towards Salamis and Aegina before continuing to Agistri, Poros, Hydra and Spetses. With more time, itineraries can incorporate the Peloponnese coastline or head towards the Cyclades. The harbour’s position gives crews a relatively quick transition from the base into open cruising waters, while the surrounding Saronic Gulf offers a mixture of island ports, sheltered anchorages and traditional waterfront villages. Access is also straightforward: the suburban railway station is around a 10-minute walk from the marina, with connections towards Athens and Piraeus, while the airport is approximately 63 km away.

Facilities at Nea Peramos are practical rather than extensive, with many of the useful amenities located around the waterfront. Water is available at the berths, while fuel can be delivered by mini-tanker. The town provides supermarkets, small retail shops, cafés, snack bars and restaurants within walking distance, making it easy to provision before setting sail. Parking is available near the marina, and technical yacht services and haul-out facilities are provided by the nearby boatyard. The harbour also has port-authority and information services. Charter operators can arrange additional provisions and deliveries, while some bases offer their own office, water, electricity and support facilities directly at the docks.
