Punta Nuraghe, Sardinia

Punta Nuraghe is part of the elegant Porto Rotondo resort on Sardinia’s northeast coast, set around a naturally sheltered bay overlooking the Gulf of Cugnana. The area has a distinctly Mediterranean feel, with rocky coves, clear turquoise water and fragrant maquis surrounding the marina. Porto Rotondo itself is known for its attractive waterfront, restaurants, cafés, boutiques and beaches, giving you plenty to enjoy before or after your time on the water. Punta Nuraghe Beach is also close by, with shallow, clear waters and views across the gulf.

Punta Nuraghe is a fantastic starting point for a catamaran holiday around northern Sardinia. The Costa Smeralda’s famous bays and beaches are close by, while the islands of Mortorio, Soffi and Budelli are all within easy reach. You can spend your days swimming in crystal-clear water, anchoring off secluded beaches and exploring the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago, with the option of crossing towards southern Corsica on a longer itinerary. The sheltered coastline around Porto Rotondo also gives you plenty of opportunities for shorter passages, making it easy to create a relaxed week of island-hopping rather than spending long periods at sea.

The Marina di Porto Rotondo offers a good range of facilities, with restaurants, cafés and other services close to the waterfront. The marina itself provides water and electricity, Wi-Fi, fuel and practical facilities for visiting yachts, while the surrounding resort adds a much wider choice of places to eat, shop and relax. Porto Rotondo’s beaches are another advantage, with Punta Nuraghe Beach and Spiaggia Ira both nearby. After provisioning for the charter, you can easily spend an evening exploring the marina and its waterfront before heading out into the Costa Smeralda.
