Sivota Bay, Lefkas
Sivota Bay is a picturesque natural harbour on the southern coast of Lefkada, with a narrow entrance opening into a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay. The village wraps around the waterfront, where sailing yachts sit alongside local boats and small pontoons. A selection of tavernas, cafés, shops and supermarkets are all within walking distance, giving the harbour a relaxed and distinctly Greek atmosphere. The surrounding hills and clear Ionian water make it an attractive place to begin or finish a sailing holiday. Unlike Lefkas D-Marin, Sivota is a small village harbour rather than a large, self-contained marina, so its appeal lies more in its setting and location than extensive marina infrastructure.

Sivota Bay makes a convenient base for exploring the southern Ionian, with Meganisi, Kastos and Kalamos all within reach and Ithaca and Kefalonia offering longer sailing destinations. The eastern coast of Lefkada also provides numerous sheltered anchorages and small villages, allowing you to keep passages relatively short and spend more time swimming or exploring ashore. On a longer sailing yacht charter, you can venture further south towards Zakynthos or north towards Paxos and Corfu. The bay itself is well protected once inside, although its entrance and approach require care. Its position on Lefkada's southern coast means crews can quickly reach the open cruising grounds without first having to navigate the Lefkada canal.

Facilities at Sivota Bay are more limited than at Lefkas D-Marin, but the village provides most of the essentials within a short walk. Supermarkets and local shops are available in the village, and the waterfront has numerous tavernas, cafés and bars. Showers are available through some of the local yacht bases, while fuel can be arranged locally rather than relying on a large marina fuel station. The compact layout is convenient for charter changeovers, as crews can reach restaurants, provisions and everyday services on foot. It is worth checking the exact facilities provided by your charter operator before arrival, as services vary between the different pontoons and bases around the bay.
